Beyoncé is clearly back to business, and her latest project is one that her 5-month-old daughter, Blue Ivy, will soon be able to enjoy. The “Countdown” singer has just been named as one of the lead voices in the upcoming animated film Epic. She will take on the role of Queen Tara, starring along Colin Farrell and Amanda Seyfried.

The movie will be directed by Chris Wedge, who also directed Ice Age, and according to Deadline Hollywood, centers around “a teenaged girl who finds herself magically transported into this secret universe and must band together with a rag-tag team of fun and whimsical characters to save that world, which in turn saves the real world.”

Epic is scheduled to be released May 24, 2013. This will be the first movie project for Beyoncé since she took time off for maternity leave. She is also slated to star in the Clint Eastwood-directed remake of A Star Is Born for Warner Bros.
