Actor and comedian, Eddie Murphy was rumored to have died in a snowboarding accident earlier today. E! News has confirmed all death rumors are false, and that Murphy is “alive and well.”

This incident is the fifth time Murphy has been the focus of a Twitter death hoax. MediaFetcher reported that Murphy died in Zermatt, Switzerland after losing control of his snowboard and hitting a tree.  MediaFetcher is part of Global Associated News, which has been the source of several previous false death reports involving Eddie Murphy, among other celebrities.
