Singer-songwriter Frank Ocean made a statement about having had a past relationship with a man weeks ago, however this weekend Chris Brown decided to weigh in on the “Sweet Life” singer’s sexuality.  While Brown was leaving a nightclub in Cannes, France a member of the paparazzi asked him about his thoughts regarding Ocean’s coming out, to which Brown reportedly responded, “Man, no homo.”

The 23-year-old “Look at Me Now” singer immediately received a backlash from the R&B community, with many of his fans saying his alleged comment was insensitive.  This morning Brown took to Twitter in an attempt to clear up his alleged homophobic comment.

“My opinion on the whole Frank Ocean subject is…love who you want to love,” Brown tweeted. “It’s your decision. People stop searching for BS.”

“Everyone is so quick to point the wrong fingers at each other,” he continued. “Ask yourself…Am I doing everything I can to help the world?”

Although Brown shed some light on his alleged Frank Ocean dissing incident, he never denied saying “no homo.”

theGrio opinion: ‘Pause’: Is this catchphrase homophobic or humorous?

In June, Ocean and Brown engaged in a Twitter battle when Brown compared Ocean to two fairly unknown songwriters, and Ocean then pointedly compared him to Ike Turner.

This is the not the first time Brown has been involved in an incident involving insensitivity towards the LGBT community. In July 2011 he was slammed for homophobic comments he made during a pick-up basketball game he played in Los Angeles. Brown allegedly yelled slurs including, ‘That’s gay!’ and ‘You’re a f*gg*t a**!’ at other players during the game.

A year earlier Brown engaged in a Twitter battle with former B2K member Raz-B, calling him gay in a derogatory manner, and using the tag #homothug in one tweet.  “Tell me this @razb2k!! Why when the money was coming in u won’t complaining about getting butplugged! #homothug!!!,” Brown tweeted.

Frank Ocean has yet to respond to these latest remarks from Chris Brown.
