Identical twin sisters to head to top medical school together

Asia and Ashley Matthew -- identical twins -- will be attending medical school together in the fall.

From Clutch Magazine: Asia and Ashley Matthew are used to doing everything together, but as they prepared to graduate from Xavier University in New Orleans and head off to medical school, they were planning to be separated for the very first time in their lives.

The sisters, both pre-med majors, have some pretty ambitious goals. Wanting to simultaneously pursue a medical degree and a PhD in biomedical research, the pair applied to one of the most selective medical schools in the country hoping to get one of the few spots for the eight-year program. Had just one of the ladies gotten into the University of Massachusetts it would have been an amazing feat, but both ladies beat the odds and won a spot in the prestigious program.
