Rihanna fans have a reason to celebrate today. The five time Grammy Award winning artist just released “Diamonds,” the first single from her upcoming seventh studio album, which is rumored to drop in the next few months.

The song, which surprisingly is not a dance track like most of the songs from her last album Talk That Talk, focuses on the theme of love.

“Find light in the beautiful sea/ I chose to be happy/ You and I, you and I/ We’re like diamonds in the sky,” Rihanna sings about a special boy. “So shine bright tonight, you and I/ We’re beautiful like diamonds in the sky/ Eye to eye, so alive/ We’re beautiful like diamonds in the sky.”

The cover art for “Diamonds” features Rihanna’s holding what appears to be diamonds in paper which is typically used for rolling marijuana. ‘

The “We Found Love” singer has made no secret that she enjoys smoking weed. In fact she has posted several photos of herself smoking weed on her official Instagram account.

Her new single cover is apparently a tribute to one of her favorite past times, and will more than likely create a bit of controversy.
