According to E! News, comedian Katt Williams was briefly detained for a gun violation this morning. He was released without any charges filed.
The comedian was in the parking lot outside the Supper Club in Los Angeles at around 1 a.m. when police say they received a call that someone had a handgun. The individual identified Williams as the suspect.
The gun was not found on his person, but they found it in the car. TMZ was told that the gun was unregistered and the police are trying to figure out who owns it.
