HIV/AIDS activist: ‘I refuse to let the disease control me’

On the Melissa Harris-Perry Show Saturday, Melissa commemorated World AIDS Day, including an interview with AIDS activist Marvelyn Brown, who told her story of contracting HIV the way so many women do — by not taking their own health seriously enough.

Brown talks about coming back from the despair of her diagnoses, and learning to control the disease, rather than allowing it to control her life.
