Robin Thicke’s new single, “Blurred Lines,” featuring T.I. and Pharrell topped the Billboard Hot 100 today.

This is the first time Thicke has hit No. 1 on the charts.  The Pharrell produced track is the first to top Digital, Airplay and Streaming Gainer charts simultaneously. “Blurred Lines” is also Thicke’s first single to pass 1  million sold downloads.

The No. 1 hit is T.I.’s fourth chart topper and Pharrell’s third.

“Blurred Lines” took the top spot from Macklemore & Ryan Lewis’ “Can’t Hold Us,” featuring Ray Dalton, who held the spot for five weeks.

The song has gained additional notoriety for its controversial, NSFW music video and its prominence in Radio Shack’s Beats Pill commercials.
