NEW YORK — Rev. Al Sharpton’s National Action Network organized more than 100 rallies in cities across the U.S. calling for “Justice For Trayvon” Martin, and got some celebrity support.

Sharpton led the New York rally, which included a march across the Brooklyn Bridge. But before the march, the crowd at 1 Police Plaza near City Hall were treated to a guest appearance by Jay Z and Beyoncé, who came to support Martin’s mother, Sybrina Fulton, and the rally.

Jay and Bey didn’t speak at the rally, but their appearance drew huge applause from the crowd who gathered in the 90-degree heat.
