Republican firebrand Sarah Palin has re-emerged on the political scene and she continues to use controversial rhetoric to score her political points.

At the Iowa Faith & Freedom Coalition’s fall fundraiser this weekend, the former GOP VP nominee attacked the federal debt and domestic spending.

“Our free stuff today is being paid for by taking money from our children and borrowing from China. When that money comes due – and this isn’t racist, but it’ll be like slavery when that note is due. We are going to [be] beholden to the foreign master,” she said, according to the Des Moines Register.

In recent years Republican politicians and activists have frequently compared Democratic policies and legislation to slavery.

Palin also lamented what she calls an “attack” on Christmas by politically correct forces.

“I say in a very jolly, Christmasy way: ‘Enough is enough,’” she said. “Enough is enough of this politically correct police out there that is acting to erode our freedom to celebrate and exercise our faith.”
