TODAY – Paul Walker’s “Fast & Furious” co-star Vin Diesel called the late actor an “angel in heaven” on Monday when he visited the Valencia, Calif. site where the 40-year-old actor and his friend Roger Rodas died in a car crash on Saturday.
Diesel spoke to the crowd using a sheriff’s car radio, in a speech captured on video by KTLA-TV.
“If he could see for himself that all of you have showed up to show my brother love at this hard time, and the family gets to see all of you show the love that you’ve shown Paul, it’s going to stay with me forever,” Diesel said. “I just wanted to say thank you. Thank you for coming down here, and showing that angel up in heaven how much you appreciated him.”
Diesel also remembered Walker on his Facebook page, referring to him as “Pablo,” Spanish for Paul, and “Brian,” Walker’s “Fast & Furious” character name.
