Will the NFL enforce penalties for the n-word?

theGRIO REPORT - Chairman of the Fritz Pollard Alliance John Wooten said Sunday he expects the NFL to implement a new penalty for players who use the n-word on the field.

Chairman of the Fritz Pollard Alliance John Wooten said Sunday he expects the NFL to implement a new penalty for players who use the n-word on the field.

Wooten suggested to CBS Sports that an automatic 15-yard penalty for the use of the n-word and an ejection from the game if used twice by the same player could become a reality this off season.

“We want this word to be policed from the parking lot to the equipment room to the locker room,” said Wooten. “Secretaries, PR people, whoever, we want it eliminated completely and want it policed everywhere.”

The only word Wooten mentioned to be penalized if used is the n-word, however many people are talking about adding other racial, cultural and homophobic slurs to a list that should be penalized.

A lot of questions are being raised around the idea of this new rule. Tell us what you think in the comments below.
