Luther Vandross was outed as gay after his death.

Lupita Nyong’o took home the Academy Award for best supporting actress Sunday night — but not without a battle.

The Kenyan-born actress scored an Oscar for her first big movie role and beat out fellow nominees including actress Jennifer Lawrence — however, there seemed to be no hard feelings from the American Hustle star.

Lawrence gave Nyong’o a standing ovation — along with the rest of the crowd — and seemed genuinely happy when the 12 Years a Slave was awarded the Oscar.

She later met with Nyong’o backstage after the ceremony and pretended to wrestle Nyong’o in an amusing photo that captured the comical personalities of the A-list stars.
