Chris Brown’s career could possibly come to abrupt halt tomorrow if he’s found guilty of assault charges and sent to jail.

Brown’s trial on an assault charge in Washington D.C., which was originally scheduled for Monday, has been moved to tomorrow.

The charges stem from an October 2013 incident where both Brown and his bodyguard Christopher Hollosy were arrested after a man accused them of punching him outside of a Washington D.C. hotel.

Minutes before Brown’s trial was to have begun Monday in the same court, D.C. Superior Judge Patricia Wynn found Hollosy guilty of assaulting the plaintiff on a Washington sidewalk.

Brown’s case will be heard Wednesday in D.C., and the stakes are extremely high. If Brown is found guilty of misdemeanor assault, the judge could revoke his probation and sentence Brown to up to four years in jail.
