MANHASSET, N.Y. — Tunicia and Raleigh Hall were just one month into their marriage when they were hit with a major medical scare that would land Tunicia in the hospital.

She was hemorrhaging around her brain and as a result lost all memory of their young marriage. She didn’t even know what year it was or how old she was. Her husband, Raleigh, refused to give up hope.

“After two days, I said I got to do something here,” Raleigh told WABC-TV. So he got very creative and posted wedding pictures all over her North Shore LIJ hospital room walls.

“I remember my husband was going around the room putting up the pictures. I don’t know why he was putting up the pictures. I was just watching him,” said Tunicia.

“She started coming around, and it drew questions about when were we married? And are we married?” said Raleigh.

She slowly started to regain her memory and ultimately became herself again. Raleigh, who is a recording artist, wrote about the experience and put it on an album.  Ian Holms, a professional singer, surprised Tunicia with one of the songs from the recording.

“With his love and God’s grace, I’m here,” said Tunicia.

The two hope to honeymoon very soon.
