Jamie Foxx is currently single, but that doesn’t mean he doesn’t understand love.
The comedian talked with E! on the set of his latest video “You Changed Me,” which features Chris Brown.
Foxx kicked the interview off imitating James Brown’s “single and ready to mingle” line.
“Love’s hard anywhere though,” he said. “It’s really hard out here. But I been out here so long, it’s like you just sift through, sift through.”

So where does Foxx draw his inspiration to write his songs in 2015?
“[Love’s] universal,” Foxx said. “When you look at what music is about, what you want to say to a person that you’re in love with, you know? And I’ve been lucky and blessed enough to sort of be able to have that, be able to sit down and create.”
The actor has plenty of life and love in him, describing his time at the piano as a time when he’s really “at home.”
The love interest in Foxx’s new video appears to be Empire actress Grace Gealey. But it’s likely strictly professiona, since Ms. “Boo Boo Kitty” is rumored to be dating her co-star from the hit Fox show, Trai Byers.
