theGRIO REPORT - Whitney Houston and Bobby Brown's daughter, Bobbi Kristina Brown has died at the age of 22....

Whitney Houston and Bobby Brown’s daughter, Bobbi Kristina Brown, has died at the age of 22.

Bobbi Kristina passed away outside Atlanta in the hospice care facility where she’s been since June 24, when her family decided to take her off all meds.

The Houston family announced the news to PEOPLE in a statement via their rep.

“Bobbi Kristina Brown passed away July, 26 2015, surrounded by her family,” the statement says. “She is finally at peace in the arms of God. We want to again thank everyone for their tremendous amount of love and support during these last few months.”

Bobbi Kristina was found submerged in her bathtub on January 31, and police believe she was underwater for anywhere between 2 and 5 minutes. Paramedics were able to resuscitate her, but she was in a medically induced coma and placed on life support.

Last month, Bobbi Kristina’s financial conservator filed a $10 million lawsuit against Bobbi Kristina’s boyfriend, Nick Gordon, claiming he secretly stole money from her and physically abused her.

Both TMZ and the Associated Press report that Bobbi Kristina’s estate filed the suit in Fulton County Superior Court in Atlanta, claiming Gordon regularly transferred funds from her account to his account, including $11,000 while she was in a coma.

The documents, obtained by TMZ, claims Gordon was beating Bobbi Kristina and on one occasion dragged “her upstairs by her hair.” He also allegedly punched her in the face and knocked out a front tooth.

“The misrepresentation that Defendant was Brown’s ‘husband’ was used to control Brown and limit with whom she could interact. [Gordon] often answered Brown’s personal cell phone, would not allow her to make appointments without his approval, and manipulated her bank relationship so that he could access her money,” Reuters reports that the lawsuit alleges.
