This weekend, Lupita Nyong’o went to Disney’s D23 Expo, and it was her first time ever going to Disneyland.
Technically, Nyong’o was there to work, promoting three movies at once with her work on Star Wars: The Force Awakens, The Jungle Book and The Queen of Katwe, reports E! News. But clearly her real mission was to have a blast at the Happiest Place on Earth, and if her social media posts are anything to go by, she was having the time of her life!
“First trip to #Disneyland!!! #myfirstears. Mummy, this is for you! #d23expo @disneystudios,” she wrote in the caption on a photo of herself at the theme park.

On another image, this one hilariously capturing the moment she was screaming on the water ride Splash Mountain, she wrote, “Well, this is clearly what courage looks like. #Disneyland with #TeamLN #d23expo.”

During the expo itself, Nyong’o said that she was “geekin out” over everything happening there and took a picture of herself with the movie posters for both the Star Wars and Jungle Book movies.

She also got to meet her Jungle Book costar there. “Met my #TheJungleBook son #Mowgli for the first time today, Neel Sethi,” she wrote on Instagram. “And we watched a teaser with the#d23expo crowd for the first time. The world is in for a TREAT.”
