Luther Vandross was outed as gay after his death.

Adele sat down in a new interview with Beats 1‘s Zane Lowe to clear up some of the recent rumors that she snubbed Beyoncé and turned her down for a duet.

But Adele says that’s absolutely not true.

“Obviously, Queen B until the day I die,” she said.

“There’s a rumor going around that I turned Beyoncé down, which I would never be so disrespectful as to do,” she went on to explain. “I’d never disrespect her like that.”

“I’m such a fan, oh my God,” she added.

While it’s good to know these two aren’t mad at each other, we’re all still a little bummed that there is, in fact, no duet on Adele’s new album, which drops Friday.

Oh well. We can dream, right?
