For the record, we’d like to put a job application in to work for Hilcorp.
The Houston-based oil and natural gas exploration company made 2015 FORTUNE 100 Best Companies to Work For list.
One reason why? Every Hilcorp employee – regardless of position –  just received a holiday season bonus of $100,000.
Amanda Thompson, a receptionist who has been working for Hilcorp for 10 years, says that the bonus is a blessing and a motivator for everyone.
“It’s just a true gift,” Thompson told Fox 26 Houston. “And I think myself, as long as everyone else is not going to give any less than one-hundred percent each day […] Somedays I just kind of look down the hall and say I cant believe these are my bosses and they’re the best.”
The bonuses were part of a promise made by Hildebrand for reaching the company’s goal of doubling in size over five years. In 2010, the company met the same goal and had awarded its employees with either a $50,000 car or a $35,000 cash check.
