Meek Mill is now facing a possible jail sentence after a judge found him guilty of violating his probation.

Mill’s most recent violation was in failing to keep the court apprised of his movements, as he was supposed to do. When he appeared in court, Mill cited a hard childhood, and girlfriend Nicki Minaj swore to keep him in line, but the judge was not having any of his excuses.

“How many times am I supposed to give him a second chance?” asked Common Pleas Judge Genece Brinkley, who had, during the 2009 gun and drug case, opted not to send the rapper to prison, even though he could have been sentenced to between five and ten years.

Brinkley also said that probation might no longer be “appropriate” and ordered Mill not to perform or work before February 5, at which point he would be sentenced.

Mill was aware of the leniency Brinkley had shown him before, and thanked the judge profusely for the chance even as he pleaded for another one.

“The chance you gave me definitely changed my life and changed my family’s life,” Mill testified on Thursday. “If you didn’t give me a chance, I probably wouldn’t be at this place I’m at now.”
