It’s been over 60 years since the famous sociological experiment in the 1940s that asked children to identify which of two dolls, a black and a white doll, was the prettier doll and which they would rather play with. But it seems some things still haven’t changed.
In a now viral video posted on December 30, an aunt and uncle gave their two white nieces black dolls as Christmas presents, and their reaction serves as proof that bias forms at a very early age. The girls seemed disappointed with the gifts, and one girl even burst into tears when the family started to laugh.
