Kanye West: Bill Cosby is 'innocent'

Luther Vandross was outed as gay after his death.

On Tuesday, Kanye West took to Twitter to shock some more people. This time, it wasn’t a beef with Wiz Khalifa or a fake cover for Rolling Stone but a declaration of apparent support for Bill Cosby.

“BILL COSBY INNOCENT!” West tweeted out, apparently defending the long beleaguered comedian against the dozens of sexual assault and rape allegations that have been pouring in against him since last year, even as Cosby is set to possibly face charges.

Predictably, West’s tweet generated plenty of controversy, with Twitter users shocked, appalled, disturbed and even disgusted by the show of support for Cosby.

This is the second time in months that Ye mentioned Bill Cosby. Just before the new year West dropped a surprise track, called “Facts,” in which he references Cosby and his accusers.

“Yeah, we made a million a minute/ we made a million a minute/ Do anybody feel bad for Bill Cosby?/ Did he forget the names just like Steve Harvey?”

The rapper offered no explanation for his newfound support of the embattled Cosby.
