Don’t go thinking Phaedra Parks is simply just a Real Housewives of Atlanta cast member.
The entertainment attorney and author recently revealed that she has her eyes set on running for a political office in the future.
“I always thought I would be the insurance commissioner, but then when I got into practicing law, things just evolved, and next thing I know, I’m in this entertainment field,” Parks told theGrio’s Chris Witherspoon. “I love politics. I think politicians heal the community through their efforts in the legislation to pass laws that can help the people. Politic definitely plays its role.”
When asked if a run for political office is something that she wants to pursue, Parks answered, “I’m sure I will. ”
“I’m very much so connected to politicians, and my own aunt was the first woman and person of color to be elected into politics in Hall County. So I come from a very political family.”
Parks, who is well-known for her infectious phrase”Fix It Jesus,” made popular on RHOA, opened up about owning the rights to the catchy term.
Parks said she’s even had to shut down some folks trying to make a coin off of “Fix It Jesus.”
“I saw them selling products with ‘Fix It Jesus,’ and I just kindly sent them a cease and desist letter and gave them my copyright license to use that,” she said.
