Mom who posed for 'ghost' photos with dead daughter now charged with child's murder

A North Carolina mother who commissioned “ghost” pictures with her dead daughter has been charged, along with her boyfriend, with killing the girl in the first place.

Jeanie Ditty and her boyfriend Zachary Keefer were arrested after 2-year-old Macy Grace was rushed to the hospital, unresponsive and with bruises all over her body. The medical staff said that the injuries were consistent with child abuse.

But to make matters stranger, Ditty had, prior to being arrested, enlisted the services of Sunny Jo, a photographer who specializes in edited images with dead family members, in order to create “ghost” pictures of her with little Macy, saying that her daughter had died from a choking accident.

“I felt so bad for the grieving mother that I decided to do $500 worth of work for free because of the situation,” Jo told WNCN-TV.

But with Ditty facing murder charges, the pictures are now drawing unwanted negative attention for the photographer.

“I regret that I’m attached to a situation that is so evil, and is so vile,” he told Fox News.

He said that he was just shocked when he found out the truth about the photos.

“I find out that she wanted these photos just to lie to the public,” Jo told WNCN, “to cover up what she did so she can look like the grieving mother.”
