Tamron Hall drags Scott Baio over sexist tweets: “I do this for a living”

Luther Vandross was outed as gay after his death.

MSNBC’s Tamron Hall came out swinging during an interview with actor Scott Baio at the RNC ,and it turned into one very unforgettable exchange.

Baio, who was also a speaker at the convention, recently tweeted out a controversial meme of Hillary Clinton in front of an offensive background that included what appeared to be the “c-word.” Hall called out the sexist undertones.

“Did you think about that in church, when you tweeted it out?” Hall asked.

Baio said he tweeted the photo without commentary and wasn’t aware of the background.

Hall went into grilling Baio about an older tweet about Michelle Obama, in which he made fun of the First Lady in an unflattering pose and wrote, “WOW He wakes up to this every morning.”

“But does joking about a woman that way make America great again?” Hall asked.

“No, it’s a joke about a woman yelling at her husband! We talk about – my wife did this, my wife is breaking my chops today,” he responded.

“But that wasn’t about your wife. That was about the First Lady,” said Hall.

“But we do it about everybody’s wives,” Baio said.

Hall also confronted Baio directly about whether he blocked her on Twitter, a claim Baio denied and said was an accident.

The “Happy Days” star was clearly taken aback and frustrated by Hall’s insistence on holding him accountable.

At one point, Baio interrupted Hall’s commentary and said she is trying to be divisive, specifically when it comes to race. Hall clapped back immediately:

“I do this for a living. You can’t chop my words up. I am telling you clearly what I said. What I said was, we’re all here together.”
