NC lottery winner to appear on ‘Fix My Life’ show

Luther Vandross was outed as gay after his death.

This September, North Carolina lottery winner Marie Holmes will be featured on  “Iyanla: Fix My Life.”

Holmes became famous after she won the $188 million lottery in North Carolina and spent much of her money bailing out her boyfriend, Lamar “Hot Sauce” McDow, who is now serving 10 years in jail after pleading guilty to drug charges.

But Holmes has also set up the Marie Holmes Foundation, which recently sponsored a back to school drive to get school supplies to 300 students.

On September 10th, “Iyanla: Fix My Life” will return with a multi-week episode in which she invites eight women into a “house of healing” to dispel the “angry black woman” myth.
