A Georgia police officer was arrested on Tuesday after a woman claimed that he raped her while he was supposed to be transporting her to jail.

The woman said that Former Riverdale police officer James Larry Robinson, who had only been on the force for two months, was supposed to be driving her from the Riverdale police department to the Clayton County jail. However, he didn’t take her straight to the jail and instead took a detour to pull up alongside a vacant building to assault her.

According to workers at the custom tire shop RimTyme, which is close by the abandoned building, the woman came to the tire shop absolutely distraught to ask if they had any surveillance footage from the time of the assault.

Robinson turned himself in on Tuesday. He was quickly fired from the department after his arrest on Tuesday and was denied bond.

A preliminary hearing will be held on September 27.
