‘Ain’t nobody got time for this’: 911 operator charged for hanging up on callers
Crenshanda Williams, a 911 operator in Houston, has confessed to hanging up on 911 callers and has been charged with interfering with emergency calls.
Williams said that she simply “did not want to talk to anyone at that time” when she was involved in “short calls” that lasted 20 seconds at most.
Buster Pendley called 911 when his wife collapsed after a blood clot moved to her lungs. “The 911 operator answered the phone, and she said, ‘This is Crenshanda, may I help you?‘ Wife’s passed out I need an ambulance,” Pendley said. “She said OK, and she hangs up on me.”

Pendley then called 911 a second time before an ambulance arrived and saved his wife’s life.
Hua Li also reported calling 911 to report an armed robbery at a convenience store.
“They just said, ‘This is 911. How can I help you?’” Li told KPRC. “I was trying to finish my sentence, and we got disconnected.”
He called again, but by the time police arrived at the scene, the store manager had died.
During another call from a security guard reporting a reckless driver, Williams reportedly said, “Ain’t nobody got time for this — for real.”
Williams now faces up to a year in jail and a $4,000 fine upon conviction.
