Martin ‘Kendu’ Isaacs, the estranged husband of Mary J. Blige, claims that the singer is trying to destroy his reputation by opening her concerts with images of tabloid covers about his requests for nearly $130,000 in spousal support.

According to Isaacs, Blige “opens her show by displaying various images of tabloids pertaining to this dissolution in an attempt to paint herself as the victim and Mr Isaacs as the villain,” court documents claim.

Isaacs is claiming $129,319 in spousal support, arguing that he worked as Blige’s personal manager and has “no source of income” since she fired him from that position. He requested the high amount of support per month because, he claims, he has become used to living the lavish lifestyle he and Blige have been able to live together.

He further claims that he will soon run out of money if a hearing to determine spousal support is not held by December, while Blige has been trying to push the hearing back to February.

These actions, Isaacs claims, have been taken in order to “shame” and “financially destroy him,” as he claims that she is on a “public campaign to destroy” his reputation.
