Angela Bassett joins cast of ‘Black Panther’

Angela Bassett has joined the cast of the upcoming Marvel movie and will be playing Ramonda, mother of the Black Panther

Marvel’s Black Panther cast is getting even more star-studded.

Angela Bassett has joined the cast of the upcoming Marvel movie and will be playing Ramonda, mother of T’Challa, the king of the fictional African nation of Wakanda and the titular Black Panther, played by Chadwick Boseman. The character of T’Challa first made his debut in the summer blockbuster Captain America: Civil War.

Bassett joins the already amazing cast that includes the likes of Michael B. Jordan, Forest Whitaker, Lupita Nyong’o, Danai Gurira, Daniel Kaluuya, Winston Duke and Florence Kasumba.

Black Panther hits theaters on Feb. 16, 2018.
