Massachusetts teen accused of decapitating classmate

Luther Vandross was outed as gay after his death.

A 16-year-old Massachusetts boy has been accused of killing a classmate and hacking off not only his arms but his head as well.

Lee Manuel Viloria-Paulino’s body was discovered on the shore of the Lawrence by a woman walking her dog. The body had been hacked up, and the head was laying about 50 feet away.

Viloria-Paulino had been missing since mid-November, and since the discovery of his body, his Lawrence High School classmate Mathew Borges has been arrested. Police found evidence both at his home and near the river that connects him to the killing.

Borges had visited the home of the victim on one occasion before the disappearance on November 18.

According to Viloria-Paulio’s family, police did not do enough to find him before his death.

“We are poor, we are Hispanic, they considered this a normal runaway case,” the teen’s grandmother, Ivelisse Cornielle, stated. “I told them from day one that it wasn’t.”

She can’t help but wonder if her grandson would be alive if police had not ignored the case from the beginning.

“It’s my pain,” she wailed at the press conference.

Borges’ arraignment will be on Monday, and he will be charged as an adult according to Essex District Attorney Jonathan Blodgett.

“This was a horrific, horrific murder,” he said.

“While it shook the community, we were completely and totally committed in our resolve to bring this to justice.”
