Milan Morris, a 17-year-old from Florida, shared a picture of her prom dress on Instagram, and the image quickly caught everyone’s attention.

The beautiful, floor-length dress has the images of Trayvon Martin, Sandra Bland, Michael Brown, and others who have been killed by police brutality, and Morris shared the image of the stunning dress with the caption: “Yes I’m black. Yes I’m 17. Yes GOD is using me to convey a message that’s bigger than me. #AllLivesMatter❤️ #BlackLivesMatter#MoveWithPurpose.”

The dress was designed by Florida-based Terrance Torrence.

“He was the mastermind behind this whole thing honestly,” Morris said of Torrence, describing his vision as “a huge issue in America today.”

As for Torrence, the designer said that he wanted to create Black Lives Matter-themed dress last year but that things fell into place this year instead so that he could realize that vision. It took him four days to make the dress, but he feels it was worth it.

“It was powerful. It was art. It was surreal. It spoke volumes,” he said, later adding, “It was powerful and a movement and I  knew people would respond to it.”
