Racist mob attacks Muslim women and children at Ramadan celebration
A “racist mob” attacked Sudanese women and children in Oxford, England at the start of Eid., according to the Oxford Homeless Project charity.
Cops were called on Sunday after an altercation erupted between two groups of people in Florence Park.
Police say that “racist language” was used and one person was taken to hospital while one of the victims was treated on scene by paramedics.
The Oxford Homeless Project claims that a woman was knocked unconscious in the brawl.
“Sudanese women and children attacked by #racist mob in #Florence park on #Eid in Oxford! Wom[a]n unconscious but ok now!” Shabnam Sabir, from the charity, tweeted.
One witness claims that they saw a woman hit by a ball before being attacked with punches and kicks. A person from the group, accused of participating in the assault, said that the woman was accidentally hit with a football, and that no obscene or racist slurs were spoken.
