A visibly emotional Venus Williams broke down in tears during a press conference at the Wimbledon Open after being questioned about her involvement in a car crash that claimed the life of an elderly man.
“I’m completely speechless..it’s just,” Williams said before stopping mid-sentence, unable to speak while overcome with grief.
Within seconds, a representative for Wimbledon interjected to caution the press from asking any further questions regarding the tragic incident.
