R. Kelly is publicly denying rumors that he is running a “sex cult.”

“I just wanted to let all of my fans out there know that despite all of the crap y’all hearing, I will be coming to the East Coast to do my show,” he said in a recorded video message. “And believe me, y’all, it’s a bunch of crap. So I hope to see y’all there. I love y’all.”

Starting on Friday, he is scheduled for three nights in a row of concerts, and it sounds like he wants to let fans know that he won’t be backing out.

This is the first time Kelly has spoken out since the parents of Joycelyn Savage came forward with allegations that Kelly was keeping their daughter prisoner. Savage has since come forward with a video of her own publicly denying that she has been held against her will, despite her parents claiming that she and other women have been brainwashed into a cult that Kelly runs from his Georgia and Illinois homes.
