Trump supporter runs over homeless people in fatal truck rampage
On Tuesday, an Oklahoma man was arrested after a pair of hit-and-run incidents, one of which was fatal, which took place on Monday.
Jeremy Thacker is being held for first-degree murder for the death of 46-year-old Shawn Birdo, who was sleeping under on overpass when he was run over by a pickup. Two other people, Cynthia Wallace and James Russell, were injured under the bridge, which is close to a homeless shelter. In the second hit-and-run incident, Thacker is accused of injuring an unidentified woman after running over her legs. An unidentified man was also injured, with a laceration to the back of his head.

Thacker has also been accused of hitting a man with a pipe near a convenience store. This allegedly took place shortly before the hit-and-run under the bridge. Police said that the man was sleeping on a bench when he was approached by someone who hit him in the arm with a pipe, leaving a cut. The man called for help, and his attacker ran away in a pickup.
According to police, the incidents were “deliberately” targeted against the population of homeless people in the area.
Tulsa Police Officer Jeanne MacKenzie credited the arrest to a neighbor who called in Thacker’s truck, which matched the police description of the vehicle seen leaving the scene of both incidents on surveillance video.
