Jennifer Lawrence feels that perhaps the destructive hurricanes pounding the US are ā€œmother Natureā€™s rage and wrathā€ at the country for electing Donald Trump as president.

Lawrence has been making the rounds promoting her new movie Mother! And made a stop on Britainā€™s Channel 4 to talk about the film, Trump and even the gender pay gap.

When the interviewers stated that there was an ā€œend-of-days feelingā€ across the world, Lawrence agreed saying, ā€œitā€™s scary.ā€

ā€œYou know, itā€™s this new language thatā€™s forming. I donā€™t even recognize it. Itā€™s also scary to know thatĀ climate changeĀ is due to human activity, and we continue to ignore it, and the only voice that we really have is through voting.ā€

Thatā€™s when Lawrence suggested that the hurricanes could, in fact, have been prompted by Trump being elected.

“You know, youā€™re watching these hurricanes now, and itā€™s really hard, especially while promoting this movie, not to feel Mother Natureā€™s rage and wrath,” she said.

“Iā€™ve heard things and seen things on TV in my own country that devastate me and make me sick, and itā€™s just really confusing.”

This is not the first time Lawrence has spoken about Trump. She has always been a vocal critic, saying in 2015 that a victory for him would ā€œbe the end of the worldā€ during an Entertainment Weekly interview.
