Viola Davis is teaming with Larry Wilmore to produce a new comedy called Black Don’t Crack.

Because – well, it doesn’t.

The comedy sold to ABC according to Deadline. Regina Hicks, co-executive producer of the HBO hit Insecure, will write and executive produce the show.  The plot revolves around three former sorority sisters who have lost touch with one another after college only. The three friends eventually reunited during a critical point in all of their lives.

Davis will produce the project with her husband and producing partner Julius Tennon.

“Viola and I are inspired by Regina Hicks and to have Larry Wilmore EP is a dream,” Tennon said via Deadline. “Seeing these three African American women who appear not to age but, to have challenges that we can all relate to and in a way, we have not seen before, will be a revelation.”

Wilmore added: “I’m thrilled to be a part of this exciting project and to collaborate with the crazy talented, Regina Hicks,” Wilmore said. “BDC is hilarious, heartwarming, and shines a light on women who are hiding in plain sight.”
