What’s new(s)?
Nearly 10 years ago, I started my professional career at MTV Networks where I was constantly reminded that “Video Killed The Radio Star”. It was referenced not only because it was the first video to air on the network but also as a reminder to embrace new technology and evolve with the time. That message often translated into being first, taking chances and finding non-traditional ways of getting your message heard.
In the same spirit, I’m stepping away from my history with television and film to create a new online community – a space where I encourage you to get involved by commenting and engaging one another on the issues of our day.
theGrio.com is my way of providing content to an audience that’s interested in stories that cover African American interests. My hope is that the site will be thought of as a place where its users can watch news stories and read critical articles relating to Health, News, Politics, Money, Entertainment and more.
