Pentecostalism is the fastest growing religion in Africa. Once cleansed, the church offers more to the believer: specific prayers to get a job, to improve your business, get married. It even works as a bank and gives loans.
It’s this hands on approach that makes such inroads into other churches. Dr Sunday Ola Makinde says 70 percent of his Methodist congregation left to join the Pentecostalists.
