Watch the surveillance video of the robbery

Police in Dearborn, Michigan have released surveillance video of a robbery and shooting at a liquor store in hopes that someone might recognize one of the two robbers.

A close look at the video suggests one of them might have gone to great lengths to hide his or her identity.

Police responded to a holdup alarm around 11:20 p.m. last Wednesday at the Express Liquor on Michigan Avenue and found the 32-year-old clerk had been shot twice.

Surveillance cameras rolled as a large black woman, whom police now believe may have been a man dressed in women’s clothing, walked in and conducted a routine sale with the clerk.

During the transaction, a second man, wearing a motorcycle helmet, entered the store and jumped over the counter and attacked the clerk.

The video then showed the female customer pulled out a handgun and shot the clerk twice. The thieves ran out of the store with an undisclosed amount of money and lottery tickets.

The store clerk was transported to Detroit Receiving Hospital in serious condition. He is expected to recover.
