Today trash haulers will play catch up in Chicago after letting garbage pile up on Monday.

Sanitation workers, along with many other city employees, were off the job Monday as part of a plan to help reel in the budget.

Many residents were surprised when they showed up at City Hall needing services and documents only to be greeted with a “Closed” sign.

Chicago will cut services for two more days this year. Everything from health clinics to libraries will be shut down.
