Nine weeks after his death, Jackson’s body will be buried at sunset alongside other stars including Walt Disney and Clark Gable.

Five miles from Hollywood, at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Glendale, California, Michael Jackson will finally be laid to rest.

Jackson’s brother Marlon told a British newspaper that Michael would be interred in a gold casket inside a security controlled concrete mausoleum.

His three children will place goodbye notes inside his coffin.

Fans got to say their goodbyes in a public ceremony at the Staples Center back in July.

Now, it’s the family’s turn. The 45-minute private service will be paid for by Jackson’s estate and will include many of his close friends and associates, including Diana Ross and Motown Records founder Berry Gordy.

Gladys Knight is expected to sing at the service with brother Randy delivering the eulogy.

Jackson was found dead at his home on June 25th. Last week, the LA county coroner’s office ruled his death a homicide due to an overdose of the anesthetic Propofol and other medications.
