According to TMZ.com, LeBron James’ lawyer has come out swinging, sending a Cease and Desist email to TerezOwens.com’s webmaster, the site where the rumor first appeared.
An excerpt from the email, from Frederick R. Nance, lawyer of Gloria James and LeBron James about the Delonte West sex rumor:
“At first blush, your irresponsible speculation about what might have contributed to the Cavaliers performance in the Boston series was so idiotic and “off the wall” that we did not think that it even warranted a denial.
No thinking person could possibly believe such rubbish. But you have persisted in repeating this nonsense, attributing it to an unidentified source all for your own personal gain.”
This denial, however, has not stopped folks around Akron from believing the rumor is true.
Akron is a small town, and folks who know the family are talking. Meanwhile, Owens has reportedly lawyered-up to fight the charges.
Reportedly, an Akron source said that LeBron James found out about the sex mid-way through the series, just as Terez Owens claims, and that it contributed to the poor game-playing performance.
