Brutal rape of 83-year-old horrifies neighborhood

Residents of the Mayfield Memorial Apartments in Charleston say this sort of thing just doesn’t happen in their neighborhood.
The crime? The brutal rape of an 83-year old woman.
The culprit? Robert McFadden, a 16-year old boy.
“I looked around the courtroom, there was no one there for him. So apparently, the kid is just going around doing things on his own, he has no guidance.” says Catherine Jimenez, the victim’s daughter.

Now, Mayfield residents are worried about the possibility of a repeat offense.
As one neighbor puts it, “Everyone stays in their house now, people don’t come out.”
