Tom Adams Field at Wayne State University was a busy place this morning as Michelle Obama and a number of iconic figures spoke to a group of excited high school students on their graduation day.
In addition to the first lady, graduates had the pleasure of hearing from director Spike Lee and basketball legend, Magic Johnson.
At what the White House is calling a ‘Youth Leadership and Mentoring Event’, the kids were met with positive and motivational messages as they enter this next chapter of their lives.
“Don’t ever let anyone tell you that your destiny is already decided. You tell them, ‘Yes we can!’ ” Michelle Obama said.
