Last week, the NAACP approved a resolution condemning racism within the Tea Party and encouraging party leaders to publicly denounce the “racist element and activities” that have been found to be associated with the movement.

While it’s not a new phenomenon for protesters to take to the streets in opposition to their government, the accusations of racism may speak even louder considering the race of our president.

Signs mocking President Obama’s race and religion (many believe him to be Muslim) can be seen at nearly every tea party gathering and have been at the center of this hotly debated issue.

Former Alaska governor Sarah Palin, recently has said claims that Tea Party activists “judge people by the color of their skin” were false and appalling.

While tea party supporters were clearly incensed by the organization’s resolution, some people took matters into their own hands.

The NAACP has announced that they have received death threats since approving the resolution and released an audio recording of one man’s response.

In the voicemail, an unidentified caller says the NAACP is a bunch of “racist ni**ers” and announces the onset of a “race war.”

He alludes to pro-choice abortion activists by saying, “you want to kill our babies…well the streets will run red with your blood.”

While the abortion reference seems to be more of a religious-based topic, the majority of the 41-second rant was racially motivated.
