Our favorite cover girl, and Oscar nominee Gabby Sidibe has been added to the cast of a new action comedy, “Tower Heist” Sidibe joins a stellar cast of seasoned comedians Eddie Murphy and Ben Stiller.

According to Deadline, Sidibe and Michael Pena portrays workers in a luxury high-rise who later discovers their pension funds have been emptied out by a white collar crook (played by Alda) a la Bernie Madoff.

This is Sidibe’s first major film role since starring in the Oscar-nominated movie “Precious” directed by Lee Daniels, and co-starring Mo’Nique. Sidibe was recently featured in the “The Big C” cast.

According to Black Voices, Sidibe shot the indie film “Yelling to the Sky” which co-stars rocker girl Zoe Kravitz.

“Tower Heist” begins filming in New York next month. The film has a November 4, 2011 release date.
