PHOENIX (AP) – One-third off. It’s a great deal if you can find it at a shopping mall or online. And for DMX, it’s a pretty decent discount when it comes to his recent prison sentence.
He was sentenced last week to spend one year in prison. But for those who say the rapper never seems to catch a break, part of the decision by the Maricopa County Superior Court does work in DMX’s favor.
The court credited the rap star with 113 days served — shaving about a-third of the sentence off. DMX has admitted violating his probation, with court documents claiming he has failed to submit to drug testing and that he drove on a suspended license.
